Working with academics and professionals, we are building a curriculum roadmap that will prepare students for a career in subsurface hydrology or further graduate education. The course sequence will be freely available to any non-profit organization or educational institution.

Professionally Aligned
The goal of the curriculum is to distill and present the foundational knowledge necessary to enter the field. We are looking for help in defining those key skills and concepts. We would also like to build a library of accessible, advanced-topic lectures delivered through pre-recorded videos by leading professionals.

Hydrogeology is a hands-on discipline. No amount of book learning will prepare students entirely for practice. We are seeking real-world projects around which curricular elements can be delivered and large-scale joint research projects that can provide students with critical research and project management skills. Let us know if you have an existing or completed project that might fit the bill!

Integrated
The research funding landscape has changed, making it much more difficult to support MS students on research projects. We will develop a one-year MS program that maintains the quantitative rigor of a traditional thesis MS that requires at least two years to complete and provides individual research experiences. The key to achieving this will be horizontal integration of courses following a strict schedule to meet key learning objectives. This will include cross-course assignments built around month-long applied projects.
